A 2010 Rosenbauer rescue pumper with a 1500 GPM Waterous single stage pump and a 750 gallon tank. Dual suctions were required to flow
full rated capacity of this apparatus. Suctions supported on a roof ladder.
Strainers submerged more than two feet below water surface.

Measuring the height of the lift from the water
surface to the center of the pump inlet. Just about ready to start the acceptance test.
As the apparatus salesman observes, we make sure we review the procedures to be followed. Two portable monitors
(tethered to a steel bar)
are required to measure the 1500 GPM flow.
